Leland's Christmas Tree Lighting Means the Holidays Are Here

The 2018 Christmas season in Southeastern North Carolina will kick off on Saturday, December 1 with the official Leland Tree Lighting, part of the NC Christmas Festival & Parade!

Everyone's favorite Christmas couple will take a quick trip from their North Pole abode to ring in the season of giving with a spectacular display of lights in Leland, NC. Santa will summon his magic to light up Leland Municipal Park and the official Town Christmas Tree after the NC Christmas Parade finishes up at Town Hall.

Santa and Mrs. Claus will stay for a while in their Leland Workshop to visit with children of all ages, pose for pictures, and listen to all those Christmas wishes before they head back home to prepare for the Big Day.

The Leland Tree Lighting will take place immediately following the NC Christmas Parade at Leland Town Hall, 102 Town Hall Drive. The ceremony and lighting will begin at approximately 6:30 p.m. Santa and Mrs. Claus will visit with children until 9:00 p.m.

The 2018 North Carolina Christmas Festival & Parade is presented by the Unity Group of North Brunswick and the Town of Leland. Events are free and open to the public.
