Ev-Henwood (pronounced Heaven Wood) is a 174 acre nature preserve donated by Mr. Troy Henry in 1991 to UNCW for nature education and nature research. Open and free to the public there are 15 maintained trails totalling 7 miles of native plants and animals. Exploring Ev-Henwood Nature Preserve will lead you to excellent spots for bird watching, walking, trail running, and photography. This is a year round destination which changes with each season.
